4 Month Stats

These past few weeks have been pretty busy. We spent a week in Rexburg and then Lincoln and I headed to Portland for a week aaaaand then the day after Lincoln had his four month well baby visit which meant shots for him. Poor baby. And then he got sick and has been cranky to the max so I've gotten a whole lot of nothing accomplished this week. Joy. Alright, enough of the "and thens..."

Here are the 4 month stats:

26 inches long, 80th percentile
17lb 6oz, 83rd percentile
Head circumference 44cm, 96.9 percentile (that would explain why his head keeps getting stuck in his shirts)

So cute, right? Love him. I had to pull out the 6-9 month clothes. Pretty crazy. He is just growing like a champ. Here are some other Lincoln facts:

-Still hates, and I mean HATES tummy time
               -Rolled over 5 times now
-Starting to like his exer saucer, bouncer and swing a little more these days
               -A tad ticklish. So cute
-Holds his toys and tries to eat them
               -LOVES bath time

Camping

I know I'm a little behind on my blogging so here is the update. So not too long ago Lincoln and I flew to Oregon and went camping at the beach with my family. It was so much fun! We got really lucky with the weather too. It only sprinkled the last day we were there. And Lincoln was a champ. I think he had his fill of being outside by the end though.

4th of July

We had the most relaxing 4th of July. It was so nice. We started off the day with a ward breakfast--my pancakes were a sickly white color and not very tasty but David's were good. It was nice to socialize though and try and meet some more people. After the breakfast we came home and all of us enjoyed an extremely nice 2 hour nap. I don't know what it is about naps but they are the best thing ever. I always feel like I could sleep for forever. Love them. Once we woke up and got Lincoln fed we headed out to Riverfront park to enjoy a nice walk and some of the local vendors. We were able to snag the only available bench in the shade where we enjoyed our lunch as well as some people watching. Which is always an enjoyable activity but I think it's especially exciting here in Spokane. So many interesting people.

When we finally came home I realized we hadn't taken any pictures. It's Lincoln's first 4th of July and we had nothing to show for it. I felt like a bad Mom so we went out onto our porch and snapped a few. I felt better then. We just relaxed for the rest of the afternoon and then headed over to our friend's house for dinner. It was great.

We decided not to go see any fireworks because Lincoln is so small. So after dinner we just came home and relaxed some more. I am definitely excited for next year to take Lincoln out to see the fireworks. I LOVE fireworks. I think they are so pretty. And what better way to celebrate the independence of this great country than by setting things on fire and having them blow up? It's perfect.

Blessing

This past Sunday David blessed Lincoln in church. We were so lucky that both David's parents and mine were able to make the trip up. We also had some friends that were able to attend. Lincoln had been colicky all week so I was pretty nervous about how he would do during the prayer but this whole no dairy thing has really payed off and he did great!

Already?

Today Lincoln is one month old. It's hard to believe that one month ago I was still pregnant and working on getting him out. Man am I thankful that that part is over!! Terrible.

But life since then has been great! I'm loving being a Mom and spending time with my new little man. I love watching him grow and see all the changes he's going through. It seems like everyday he stays awake a little longer than the day before.

It hasn't all been bliss though. Poor little guy has been battling a cold and seems to have developed a bit of colic. So that's been interesting to say the least. So I've given up dairy in hopes that that solves the problem. Ever since I've given it up all I want is a hot fudge sundae. Yum! It's only been like a day though :/ If it helps the colic I'm all for it though. So here's hoping!

Support

We have been so lucky with all the support we have received since Lincoln was born. Both my parents were able to drive up when I went into labor. It was so nice to have them there. Then my Dad left to pick up my little sister and they came back to Spokane on the Thursday to stay for the weekend. My mom was able to stay with us the whole time and she didn't leave until yesterday. She was a huge help to us with this whole transitioning thing into being new parents. We really appreciate everything she did for us! Then this past weekend my sister and her family came up here along with my dad and little sister. It was so fun having everyone here! It's pretty quiet around here now, just us, our puppies and our new little baby. I love it. Now I'm just trying to get into a routine with him. I'm loving every second of being a Mom!

Time has been going by so fast. Tomorrow my little boy will be two weeks! I can't believe it. I swear every day he gets bigger and bigger. It's crazy how much I love this little guy. David and I feel so blessed to have him in our lives.
